Despite ABS data for June showing an additional 5,600 Victorians are unemployed since May, the Andrews Labor Government continues to refuse $4bn worth of Federal infrastructure money that would create more jobs in Victoria.
Daniel Andrews rejected the Morrison Government’s infrastructure money, saying that “…you’d have all sorts of issues around labour” despite the growing unemployment rate.
In a significant blow to families, the number of Victorians employed full-time has decreased by more than 10,200 people.
Not only is the unemployment rate up, but the participation has declined as fewer Victorians are hopeful of finding work.
Under Labor, Victoria has become the highest taxed state in Australia and Daniel Andrews has committed to doubling the state debt, which has signalled a hostile environment to businesses and investors.
